Tusheti is a remote region, and as such there are no amenities such as petrol stations, pharmacies, beauty salons, banks, ATMs or currency exchanges booths.

Tusheti – hidden in the Caucasus Mountains is the treasure of Georgia. The mysterious part is different from all the other sides of Georgia, its nature is diverse and enchants tourists.  

Tusheti Protected Areas include 11 tourist trails, these are: 1,2,3,4 and 6 day trails. Visitors have possibilities to select hiking, bicycle, horse riding, cultural, bird and gazelle watching tours.

Tusheti Natoinal Park is the best place to arrange picnic. Tushetian cuisine is unique, do not miss chance to taste Tushetian cheese and take part in bow and arrow competitions during folk festivals.

Keselo

Keselo Complex (XVII – XVIII centuries) is located in Chaghma Valley, 2 km far from village Lower Omalo. It is possible to rach Keselo by high vehicle or by foot.

Around Park Objects

Village Diklo

Village Diklo  (XVII – XVIII centuries)   is located in Chaghma Valley, 15 km far from village Lower Omalo. It is possible to go by car to village Diklo ( 13 km far from Omalo) where pedestrian trail goes to village Diklo.

Shenako Monastery

Shenako Monastery (XIX century) is located in Chaghma Valley, 8 km far from village Omalo. It is possible to visit Shenako Monastery by high vehicle car and as well as by foot.

Ageurta

Ageurta (XVII – XVIII centuries) is located in Chaghma Valley, 9 km far from village Lower Omalo. It is possible to go by vehicle as well as by foot from Omalo to Shenako. Pedestrian trail goes from Shenako to Aguerta.
Iliuerti Monastery (XIX century) is located in Gometsary Valley, village Iliurta, 23 km far from village Lower Omalo. It is possible to visit village Iliurta by vehicle and as well as by foot.

Architectural complex of village Tsaro

Architectural complex of village Tsaro Crypt (middle ages) is located in Tsovata territory. Tsaro is located in 28 km far from village Lower Omalo. It is possible to reach Tsaro by vehicle and as well as by foot. You should pass Gometsari Valley in order to visit Tsaro.

Architectural complex of village Dartlo

Architectural complex of village Dartlo (middle ages) is located in Pirikita Valley, 18 km far from village Lower Omalo. Architectural complex of Dartlo unites fortresses, crypts (XV- XVII centuries), Sabcheo (XVII- XVIII centuries) and Dartlo Monastry (XIX century). It is possible to visit Dartlo by foot or by car.

Architectural Complex of Village Chontio

Architectural Complex of Village Chontio (XVII- XVIII centuries) is located in Pirikita Valley, 37 km far from village Lower Omalo. It is possible to visit Chontio by foot. The automobile road ends in village Girevi. From Girevi pedestrian trail goes to Chonta.

Alaverdy Monastery

The earliest structures of the Alaverdi Monastery date back to the 6th century, although the present day cathedral is a part the 11th century Georgian Orthodox monastery. Alaverdi is located 18 kilometers from Telavi and is one of the tallest religious buildings in Georgia. The surrounding courtyard is home to vineyards from which local monks make their own wine. Location: village of Alaverdi.
