Tsutskhvati Cave Natural Monument
Tsutskhvati Cave, so-called “Maghara” by locals is located in Okriba-Argveti Valley. It
has 13 floors. The first floor is not available for visitors, it is covered with River Chishura.
The second floor is the tunnel within the length of 200 meters, width 10-30 meters,
height – 10-28 meters.
The second floor (main wave) is characterized by the enormous natural tunnel (length -
200 m, width - 10-30 m, height 10-28 m). Water in it only flows during the Shabaatghal
flood. The tunnel branches are sources, a small lake, a calcite piece of shapes. The
staircase attached to the man is saved - the remnants of the old religious building.
Fourth floor is the caves without water. There are discovered archeological monuments.
The most noteworthy are: 1.Bronze Cave (5 th floor), 2. Upper Cave (9 th floor), 3. Three
caves that was expenditure in feudal era.
Tsutskhvati Cave is one of the ancient cave in Georgia.
Location: Tskaltubo Municipality, village Tsutskhvati, River Chishura Valley, 320
meters above sea level.

How to get there: The closest town to the natural monument is Kutaisi, which is 230 km from
Tbilisi; duration – 3 hours by car. Tbilisi is far from Kutaisi by 230 km. Kutaisi – Tsutskhvato –
24.3 km, duration: 40 minutes.
